Be more succinct. I'm rolling around in laughter right now because my idea of a "short" story is generally nothing less than ten thousand words, but a couple days back I had an email telling me that I'd got second place in a Twitter fic competition. As in, the story I wrote was less than 140 characters long.

Bad news, guys -- the Mayans got the date wrong. The world will be ending in five, four, three, two...

Sometimes writing is very Not Good for your health. It does occasionally help with the chemisty homework, mind.

I'm not generally an artist by trade; I'm an author who has limited ability with pencils and Copics, although I really need to learn to use my tablet one of these days. Therefore I'm mostly on DA to stalk people for commissions of my original characters, as I lack the time, patience and true ability to draw them the way I see them in my mind. Thank God there is a big wide world out there of artists far better than me. <3
